Des mots pour jouer : glissements sémantiques dans le discours diderotien sur l’histoire théâtrale
Abstract
This article aims to analyse the evolution of some keywords on the discourse about acting, Denis Diderot’s Paradoxe sur le comédien (1777, published in 1830) being the starting point. From a transcultural point of view, we will focus on the Spanish translations of the French words « acteur », « comédien » and « paradoxe », for they are central in this essential text in theatrical history.
